Logistics
Preferences
for meeting logistics include:
SEATING: Karen rarely has requests on particular seating
arrangements for the audience. If this is an exception, she will let
you know.
RISER: Whenever practical, Karen prefers not
to stand on a riser as she likes to have the flexibility to move about
the audience members for maximum connection, interaction and fun!
MICROPHONE: Karen requires a wireless lavaliere microphone.
If this is not available, please contact her at karen@innovativeimpact.com.
VISUAL AIDS: For most programs, Karen requests a flipchart
with at least 25 pages of paper and strong blue and black markers. If
she has any further requests, she'll let you know. When possible, Karen
prefers to have the paper portion of the flipchart sent to her hotel
room ahead of time, or held behind the front desk.
HANDOUTS: A master set of participant materials will
be provided for the meeting planner to duplicate. Please keep Karen
posted on any deadlines to get this material to you.
PRODUCT SALES: Karen requests one 6-foot table set up for cd
sales and autographing after the session.
BROCHURES and EVALUATIONS: Karen will bring (optional) evaluations
and brochures. She requests help distributing them to each table (for
events with tables) or for each chair (when there are no tables) prior
to the start of the session.
AUDIO/VIDEO RECORDING: Audio and Video recording is
allowed ONLY IF prior permission has been given. Please contact Karen
for permission at karen@innovativeimpact.com
or 702-260-6842.
LODGING: If a hotel overnight is required, Karen requests
that the room be reserved for late arrival AND late checkout. Please
have the room and tax booked to the client whenever possible. Karen
requires a non-smoking room - ABSOLUTELY!

Tips
For Employee Productivity
Employees can complain--as
long as they offer a solution.
History is not destiny.
Changes can occur even in seemingly stagnant environments.
Conduct an innovation
audit: review strengths and weaknesses in innovation.
Recover a state
of "beginner's mind". Opening up to the possibility of other
options allows for the infusion of new energy.
Dont judge
emerging ideas.
Apply 'but' economics.
The word but negates what came before it in a sentence.
To encourage innovative thinking, significantly reduce use of the word
but.
Try something new:
change a pattern, infuse humor, improvise.
Set partial-limits.
An effectively powerful leader incorporates respect for others and for
oneself.
